Mama: Gracias.
Nina: De mucho.
I don't understand why my character gets in trouble after she says this to her mother. Is it considered rude? What does it mean in that context?"De mucho"? Help with Spanish-English translation.?
The normal response to someone who thanks you is "de nada" ("you're welcome"; literally means "it's nothing"). To say "de mucho" instead implies that you think you did them a big favor, they owe you a lot, etc."De mucho"? Help with Spanish-English translation.?
You could also say "Por nada" or "no hay de que" instead of "de nada"
